Adobe Launches a Global Initiative to Teach 30 Million People How to Use AI, Create Content, and Digital Marketing

The program continues Adobe’s commitment to empowering learners from all backgrounds to succeed in today’s job market and unleashing creativity for all. This year, Adobe has contributed more than $100 million in donations, scholarships, product access, and partnerships for this and other projects to help people and organizations around the world share their stories.

Adobe will collaborate with Coursera, NGOs, K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and alternative education organizations to provide training and certificates. As part of this, they are providing a variety of curricula for this program, including courses in Social Media Content, Multimedia Content, Content Marketing, Multi-channel Content, and Advertising, Generative AI Content Creation, and Creative & AI Skills.

The initial courses are now available globally on Coursera, a top-tier online learning platform that allows anyone to acquire and develop creative and digital skills at their own speed. The Content Creator and Graphic Designer Professional Certificates are available to aspirant students, and additional digital marketing certificates will be available in early 2025. In the initial year of the program, Adobe has committed $250,000 in scholarship licenses that will be distributed by nonprofit organizations to allow students to access Adobe courses and certificates on Coursera.

The coursework will be available soon on Adobe Express and is being developed for the Behance community.

In addition, Adobe is working to create direct paths for future careers. Adobe will expand its cooperation with existing Digital Academy collaborator General Assembly, a major IT talent and training provider, to include boot camps for marketing and content development. Bootcamp participants will have free access to live and on-demand training, as well as General Assembly’s career coaching, personal branding, and portfolio-building resources, which will help grads save time on their job searches. The first US cohort is set to begin in November and is now taking applications. Additional cohorts in the United States, United Kingdom, and India are to receive applications in January 2025. Adobe fully sponsors bootcamps, which are free of charge for participants.

Adobe is making new donations to an extended network of alternative education and youth-serving non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including DECA, NPower, Build.org, the Prince’s Trust, AVID, Girl Scouts of Western Washington, and Pratham. These new investments will provide millions of students served by NGOs with vital workplace skills and integrate skill-building opportunities into their extracurricular activities.

“Adobe is the ideal partner for DECA as we amplify our quest to prepare students for college and careers,” said Christopher Young, CAE, chief program officer, DECA Inc. “This initiative will empower our student members to learn and apply the creative skills they need for their future careers in marketing and business. Adobe Express is the perfect tool for DECA students to apply their creativity and experiment with AI to create content relevant to preparing for their careers.”
