An Interview With Successful Mompreneur Stephanie Caballero-Martin

Tranquil store is an innovative health-centered brand located in Cedarhurst, Oregon. Tranquil store has helped dozens of individuals achieve optimum health through natural health initiatives.

After noticing the incredible run Tranquil Store has had over the last few months, I decided to reach out to Stephanie Caballero-Martin, co-founder of Tranquil, for an interview regarding the firm and how she has taken her firm to new heights while also being a mompreneur Let’s have a look at what she had to say;

Can you tell us about yourself?

I am Stephanie Caballero-Martin, and very blessed to call myself a mompreneur. When my family and I decided that we wanted to venture into the world of entrepreneurship, my life took on a different meaning.

Although, being a mompreneur is a blessing because I can spend more time with our son at home than being away in an office. I didn’t think so in the beginning. I had to balance being a wife, mom managing certain aspects of the business, and finding time for myself. There were times when I was delusional for thinking that this could even work and wanted to give up. Although the responsibilities are challenging, I am glad about my decision and wouldn’t change it for the world.

What made you venture into your industry?

I’ve suffered from severe menstrual cramps and was told after having children, and it will get easier to manage. That was certainly not the case for me after having our son. My symptoms became more unbearable. I started doing more research and saw that women were using natural plants to help ease the many symptoms (such as cramps, back pain, Headaches, etc.) endured during that time of the month. This was a part of the blueprint when we decided to start Tranquil, and I wanted to ensure women were accounted for when choosing our products.

How do you avoid burnout as a Mompreneur?

These days it’s almost impossible not to burn yourself out, and there are times when I have come close to feeling this way. In my opinion, there have to be balanced and shared responsibilities when it comes to balancing being a wife, mom, and entrepreneur.

When I find myself getting stressed out, I close the laptop, put down the phone, and have some alone time and family time. I follow these three simple things: relax, renew and restore. So far, it has helped, especially during the last couple of months.

When it comes to stress, it is a part of everyone’s everyday life. When a situation is causing you stress, you have to ask yourself, is this worth stressing over? I take breaks when needed, which has helped me to refocus on the business. I’ve realized a lot of the things we stress over aren’t worth the stress. Just taking a deep breath, communication, and shared responsibilities have been a tremendous help.

What inspires you to move forward each day?

My family inspires me continuously, especially my son. I want the best for him, and to do this, I have to set a good example. Most importantly, I want to leave behind a legacy that he will be proud of one day.

The best advice I can give to any mom striving to achieve success in life and their business is to take time and think about what you are passionate about. I truly believe if you follow your passions and make them a reality, you will never truly work a day in your life.

I would tell them to just go for it as long as they are dedicated. Before I met my husband, I was nervous at the thought of owning a business. I believed the market was too saturated, and the idea of stepping out of the norm was unreachable for me. Still, with his encouragement and support, I don’t hesitate anymore about business ventures. It’s better to try and fail than never to try at all.

Success will come with time, but you have to be in it for the long haul and remember, to be a leader, you have to be a student first.
