In an effort to promote awareness of India’s rich cultural legacy and traditional knowledge systems, Samalkha Group of Institutions successfully organized the “Bhartiya Parampara Gyan Quiz: Indian Knowledge System” on 8th June 2026 for first-year students. The event was designed to encourage young learners to explore the timeless wisdom embedded in Indian traditions while fostering intellectual curiosity and healthy competition.
The quiz witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various disciplines, with a total of eight teams competing in a series of engaging and knowledge-driven rounds. The competition focused primarily on two of India’s most revered epics, the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, allowing participants to showcase their understanding of the stories, values, characters, and historical significance associated with these ancient texts.
Throughout the event, students displayed impressive knowledge, confidence, and teamwork while responding to a wide range of questions. The atmosphere remained vibrant and competitive, reflecting the participants’ eagerness to learn more about India’s civilizational heritage. The quiz not only tested their knowledge but also encouraged them to appreciate the relevance of traditional wisdom in contemporary society.
After a closely contested competition, the winning team from B.Tech Semester II emerged victorious.
Winning Team (B.Tech Semester 2):
1. Gulshan
2. Ansh
3. Rishav
4. Lovish
Their outstanding performance, quick thinking, and in-depth understanding of the subject earned them the top position in the competition.
The winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates by Prof. Yatender Kumar, Academic Coordinator, in recognition of their achievement. In addition, all participating students received Participation Certificates for their active involvement and enthusiasm throughout the event.
Speaking on the significance of such initiatives, faculty members highlighted that activities centered around Indian Knowledge Systems help students develop a deeper connection with the nation’s cultural roots. They also contribute to enhancing general awareness, critical thinking, communication skills, and collaborative learning. More importantly, these programs create opportunities for students to engage with the values and philosophies that have shaped Indian society for centuries.
The “Bhartiya Parampara Gyan Quiz” served as more than just a competition; it became a platform for students to celebrate knowledge, embrace cultural heritage, and strengthen their appreciation for India’s intellectual traditions. Such initiatives align with the broader vision of nurturing well-rounded individuals who are academically competent, culturally aware, and socially responsible.
By organizing events of this nature, Samalkha Group of Institutions continues to create meaningful learning experiences beyond the classroom, inspiring students to explore the depth of India’s knowledge systems while developing skills that contribute to their overall growth and future success.
