LAGOS, Nigeria — Cambodian digital creator and entrepreneur Song Ethong, together with creative collaborator Ros ChanMorokorth, has launched **SONGKORTH**, a contemporary apparel brand establishing a new retail presence in Lagos, Nigeria.
The launch represents an international step for the Cambodia-based creative project, bringing its focus on fashion, digital media and visual culture to Lagos, one of West Africa’s major commercial and creative centres.
SONGKORTH was developed around the connection between contemporary apparel and digital content. The brand combines clothing with graphic design, photography and online media as part of an effort to create a recognizable visual identity across both digital and physical spaces.
Song Ethong said the decision to develop SONGKORTH’s presence in Lagos reflects an interest in connecting the Cambodian-founded project with new creative communities and audiences.
“Moving SONGKORTH from a digital concept developed in Phnom Penh into a physical environment in Lagos is an important step for us,” said Ethong. “We hope to connect with new audiences while continuing to develop the brand’s identity through fashion, visual content and creative work.”
Ethong, originally from Poipet City, Cambodia, is also pursuing legal studies at the Royal University of Law and Economics in Phnom Penh. His activities have included digital media projects and entrepreneurial initiatives alongside his academic work.
Ros ChanMorokorth contributes to SONGKORTH’s creative direction, including graphic concepts, fashion imagery and visual production. Her work supports the development of the brand’s visual identity across its online content and physical presentation.
The Lagos presence is intended to bring together apparel retail and elements of digital culture, providing a physical setting where customers can experience the brand’s clothing and visual identity.
The project also reflects the founders’ interest in creating connections between Cambodia and international creative markets. Through SONGKORTH, Ethong and ChanMorokorth are exploring how a locally developed Cambodian brand can build an international presence while maintaining its original identity.
The Lagos launch represents an early stage in SONGKORTH’s development. The founders plan to continue expanding the brand’s products, digital presence and creative activities while exploring opportunities in additional markets.
