Forbes declared its seventh annual “30 Under 30 Asia” Class of 2022 list

Forbes declared its seventh annual “30 Under 30 Asia” list, featuring 300 young entrepreneurs, leaders, and trailblazers across the Asia-Pacific region, all under the age of 30, who are inspiring change and driving innovation in their respective fields amid the challenges achieved by the Covid-19 pandemic. 2022 List Highlights 300 Young Entrepreneurs and Rising Stars Who Are Redefining the Future of Business and Society in Asia.

The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Class of 2022 highlights 30 notable honorees selected for every one of the 10 categories, including The Arts (Art and Style, Food and Drink); Entertainment and Sports; Finance and Venture Capital; Media, Marketing and Advertising; Retail and Ecommerce; Enterprise Technology; Industry, Manufacturing, and Energy; Healthcare and Science; Social Impact and Consumer Technology.

Among those featured on the current year’s list is the No. 1 female golf player in the world Jin Young Ko from South Korea; Chinese Olympic gold-medalist skier Eileen Gu; Australian Max Shand who is the founder of Serenade, a music NFT marketplace; Loh Kean Yew, the first Singaporean to be crowned badminton world champion; China’s Zhang Zihao, cofounder of plant milk beverages organization Plantag; Rashid Khan, cofounder of India-based conversational AI organization Yellow.AI; Japanese skateboarder Sakura Yosozumi and Singapore’s Ng Ming Wei, one of Southeast Asia’s most popular TikTok makers and founder of Boom Digital Media among others.

Rana Wehbe Watson, Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia Editor, said: “Entrepreneurs and innovators on this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list are working towards reconnecting Asia, after the disruption and isolation of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

  • Entertainment and Sports: Hoyeon, 27, Actress – South Korea
  • Finance and Venture Capital: Jeffery Liu, 27, Founder, Xanpool – Hong Kong
  • Media, Marketing and Advertising: Rohan Nayak, 29, Cofounder, Pocket FM – India
  • Retail and Ecommerce: Debeasinta Budiman and Garret Koeswandi, 28 and 25, Cofounders, Aplikasi Super – Indonesia
  • Enterprise Technology: Kosuke Mitarai, 27, Cofounder, QunaSys – Japan
  • Industry, Manufacturing, and Energy: Kevin Zhang, 28, Founder, Inteluck – Philippines
  • Healthcare and Science: Sun Weijie and Zhang Linfeng, both 28, Cofounders, DP Technology – China
  • Social Impact: Namya Mahajan, Vishal Sunil, and Siddhant Sachdeva, 28, 27 and 28, Cofounders, Rocket Learning – India
  • Consumer Technology: Risa Feng, 27, Cofounder, BUD – China

The 2022 list includes a different set of 30 Under 30 honorees, with 22 countries and domains represented across the Asia-Pacific region. Selected from more than 4,000 nominations, a record number for the Asia list, researched by Forbes journalists from across the region, and screened by industry veterans, this select group of relentless people is disrupting industries and handling major global issues.

The criteria for honorees making the list include their demonstration of leadership, how they typify the entrepreneurial spirit that is synonymous with Forbes, and their capability of progress in their industry. Different factors like innovation, disturbance – and size and development of their endeavors in certain categories – play a role in making the final decision.

Honorees were reviewed and selected by a panel of achieved and acclaimed judges in every category.
