Global Exhibitions Day 2025 Set for June 4 with Inspiring Theme ‘Exhibitions Unleash Potential’

Global Exhibitions Day (GED), which was established in 2016, is celebrated every year on the first Wednesday of June to raise awareness of the exhibition industry locally, regionally, and internationally. Industry participants from more than 100 countries and regions have activated and engaged in it in recent years. On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, Global Exhibitions Day (GED) will celebrate its tenth edition with the theme “Exhibitions unleash potential.”

All businesses and professionals in the industry are invited to celebrate GED, which is organized by UFI, The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry. The event will highlight how exhibitions unleash potential by promoting multi-industry growth, empowering professionals, and producing economic and social impact globally.

Key Campaign Messages

Four main messages have been introduced as part of the theme to emphasize the wide-ranging advantages for the various players in the exhibition ecosystem:

Exhibitions encourage cooperation and creativity, which changes sectors and businesses.
Exhibitions give established, up-and-coming, and new talent the chance to flourish.
For nations and communities, exhibitions drive social advancement and economic growth.
Through in-person interaction, exhibitions expand reach, develop businesses, create relationships, and increase revenue.

These messages highlight how exhibitions open doors for everyone, including businesses, communities, and individuals.

UFI President Hugh Jones comments: “Global Exhibitions Day 2025 is a powerful reminder of how exhibitions unleash potential across industries and communities. This ten-year milestone is an opportunity to celebrate our industry’s achievements and to recognize its contribution to economic and social progress. I look forward to celebrating GED 2025 with my colleagues and friends across the world.”

Here are some ideas for how to participate:

  • Create and run your own campaign or activity for GED 2025.
  • Encourage government representatives to support and acknowledge the exhibition sector.
  • Customize the GED 2025 toolbox by adding your own images and story.
  • Collaborate with regional media outlets to promote GED and the exhibition sector.
  • Use #GED2025 to highlight your GED projects on social media.
