We just celebrated National Sons Day, which is really observed twice a year in the United States, in case you missed it. This naturally raises the question of when National Daughters Day will be celebrated.
The dates for National Daughters Day should be noted on your calendar.
Every year on September 25, Thursday, National Daughters Day is observed.
National Daughters Day honors the unique bond between parents and daughters by celebrating daughters worldwide. Originally established to “erase the stigma in some countries attached to having a girl instead of a boy child,” the National Day Archives states that today’s celebration honors the gift of daughters.
According to the National Day Archive, there is only one National Daughters Day, but it can vary by nation and culture. For example, some people may celebrate it on October 1st, while others may do so on the fourth Sunday in September.
On August 11, we celebrate National Sons and Daughters Day every year.
In 2025, Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 11. It is celebrated annually on the second Sunday in May.
Father’s Day is observed on Sunday, June 15, 2025, this year. Every year, the third Sunday in June is Father’s Day.
