Charles III and his wife, Camilla, will be crowned king and queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms at Westminster Abbey on May 6, 2023. It will be the nation’s first coronation in 70 years when King Charles III of Great Britain is crowned on May 6.
The coronation will take place at Westminster Abbey at 6 a.m. EST (11 a.m. local time in London) and is expected to attract more than 2,000 guests from all over the world.

King Charles’ coronation will be a more intimate ceremony with fewer guests than Queen Elizabeth II’s. While performers and no other prominent figures from pop culture have been confirmed as attendees, many expect Victoria and David Beckham’s presence.
