List of 25 best beaches in the world and Europe

In Tripadvisor’s list of the best beaches for 2023, only four UK beaches made the cut. Tripadvisor revealed travelers’ favorite beaches of the year after analyzing tens of millions of reviews submitted by tourists over the past year to determine the quality and quantity of ratings for beach experiences.

The Tripadvisor community says that Baia do Sancho, on the volcanic island of Fernando de Noronha, just over 200 miles off the Brazilian coast, is the best beach in the world. Eagle Beach in Aruba, one of only two Caribbean beaches to make the top 10, is ranked No. 2 in the world. Cable Beach, located in Western Australia, jumped to the other side of the world and made the top three.

Reynisfjara Beach in Iceland topped Europe, followed by Praia da Falesia in Portugal and Spiaggia dei Conigli on Sicily’s islands, respectively. The European list included Gorleston-on-Sea beach, Weymouth beach, Fistral Beach in Newquay, and Bournemouth beach in the United Kingdom.

Along with the coastlines of Spain, Greece, and Portugal, British beaches are ranked as some of the best in Europe. On approximately 8 million establishments and locations, Tripadvisor has approximately 1 billion reviews and opinions.
