Memorial Tournament 2025: Schedule, Purse, Prize Money, Key Golfers, and How to Watch on TV

The 2025 Memorial Tournament, held at Ohio’s Muirfield Village, begins this week. All the information you need to watch the tournament, including the complete Memorial TV schedule, streaming information, and more, will be available here after the first and second round tee times are published.

The PGA Tour’s penultimate signature event until 2025 will be held this week at Muirfield Village Golf Club. The course has constantly proven to be a true challenge for the world’s best golfers, and the Memorial Tournament has always been an entertaining tournament to watch.

Of course, Scottie Scheffler is now the clear favorite after Rory McIlroy decided not to compete this week. In two weeks, it will be his final match before the U.S. Open.

How to watch the Memorial Tournament

Following a short break from them, the Memorial is hosting another Signature Event this week. The Memorial attracts a field full of celebrities because it is one of the largest events on the PGA Tour schedule each year. This week, it is undoubtedly the case.

Although we’ve seen a lot of Scottie Scheffler lately, the world No. 1 and PGA champion returns to competition this week. He packed up and played the Charles Schwab Challenge in his home state of Texas last week after winning the PGA two Sundays ago in North Carolina. He is currently in Ohio.

Given that he is the defending champion and that a $4 million winner’s check is at stake, it makes more sense. Rory McIlroy is one well-known person who will not be competing. The champion of the Masters decided not to participate in this week’s competition.

The 2025 Memorial Tournament will be televised by CBS and Golf Channel, and streamed online by PGA Tour Live on ESPN+. Lastly, you can watch the Golf Channel broadcast live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports App, and the CBS coverage on Paramount+.

What is the prize money and purse for the Memorial Tournament?

The winner will receive $4 million, 700 FedExCup points, and a $20 million purse.

Does the Memorial Tournament have a cut?

Yes, when 36 holes are reached, there is a cut to the low 50 and ties, as well as anyone within 10 shots of the lead. The only signature events that have been cut are the Memorial, Genesis Invitational, and Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Notable golfers at the Memorial Tournament

Scottie Scheffler: The world’s top-ranked golfer has won two of his last six starts and placed in the top eight. He is now returning to an event he won. This is Scheffler’s tournament to lose because McIlroy is taking the week off.

Patrick Cantlay: Throughout his career, Patrick Cantlay has received kindness from Muirfield Village. He has placed in the top seven five times since 2018 and has won here in 2019 and 2021. Having said that, he was not selected here last year. Will he recover from that and make it back to the winner’s circle this week?

Who won the 2024 Memorial Tournament?

At Jack’s Place, Scottie Scheffler secured his fifth win of the season, but it wasn’t without its challenges. With a four-stroke lead going into the final round, Scheffler finished in 2-over 74. On Sunday, his advantage remained intact, but he had to make an important 5-foot make on the 72nd hole to finish one clear of Collin Morikawa.

How to watch online, streaming

There are several methods to watch the 2025 Memorial Tournament online. Throughout the week, ESPN+’s PGA Tour Live will offer highlighted group coverage and exclusive early coverage.

While NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports App will carry live simulcasts of Golf Channel’s telecasts, Paramount+ will stream the CBS coverage live.
