
With UFC 290: Volkanovski vs. Rodriguez, which features a championship double-header and a title eliminator as its main event, the Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to its home base in Las Vegas this weekend to close out International Fight Week 2023 – UFC X.
In the main fight, featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski will face interim champion Yair Rodriguez, while the co-main event features flyweight champion Brandon Moreno defending his belt against longtime rival Alexandre Pantoja.
Additionally, in a feature fight that will serve as a good warm-up for the main event, former UFC middleweight champion and current No. 2 ranked contender Robert Whittaker squares off against No. 5 Dricus Du Plessis in a fascinating contest that could have title implications.
The main card also features a thrilling lightweight bout between No. 10 ranked Jalin Turner and No. 11 ranked Dan Hooker, with Dana White’s Contender Series signee Bo Nickal looking to maintain his perfect record against The Ultimate Fighter veteran Tresean Gore in the middleweight main card opener.
A fight between former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and Niko Price will cap off the preliminary card, which also includes matches between Jack Della Maddalena, Josiah Harrell, Yazmin Jauregui, Denise Gomes, Jimmy Crute, and Alonzo Menifield.
Tatsuro Taira, Edgar Chairez, Vitor Petrino, Marcin Prachnio, Cameron Saaiman, Terrence Mitchell, Shannon Ross, Jesus Santos Aguilar, Kamuela Kirk, and Esteban Ribovics, among others, will square off in the Octagon on the early preliminary card.
