What was a major challenge you had to overcome to get to where you are today?
One challenge I faced that I’m sure many business owners come up against is money. When I decided to start my own clinic, I didn’t have the resources. I was able to borrow $3K from a friend to kickstart the process. Now the business sustains itself, but I’m very grateful to have had that support to get started.
What accomplishments are you most proud of?
15 years ago, I started the business in a basement storage closet with $3K borrowed from a friend. We recently became a $5M company, which puts us in the top 1% in the nation. I’m so proud to have grown from such a small beginning!
Do you have any advice for others looking to do what you’ve done?
Don’t do it for the money. Business isn’t easy, and if you’re in it only for the money you won’t last. Pursue what you love, and the money will come.
