HHRD Ramadan

Share

Last Ramadan, with your help, Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) was able to impact those in need significantly. As we get closer to this year’s Ramadan, we are asking once again for your support so that HHRD can make an even more significant impact on those in need. This year you can make a long-lasting impact on the lives of thousands of people who are in need. You can become a real change-maker by assisting someone across the globe.

Who Does HHRD Want To Help This Ramadan?

  • Refugees and Internally Displaced People who face unimaginable hardships
  • Marginalized segments of society such as orphans, widows, the disabled, and the elderly
  • Individuals who wish to break the cycle of poverty through skills training and education
  • Communities who walk miles on end for the chance to secure safe drinking water

How Can I Give This Ramadan?

There are plenty of ways that you can give this Ramadan and show your support.

Zakat

You can help HHRD support orphans and widows. We will also provide clean water to drought-impacted areas, help out with education, create shelters for refugees, and provide medical services for those in need, amongst many more services.

Any Zakat given to Help Hand USA is allocated to those who need it the most as a state by Islamic guidelines.

Sadaqah

When you give money that stems from compassion, love, and generosity, this is considered Sadaqah. Your donation will be given to those who we feel need it the most on your behalf. We have over fourteen different programs to spread your Sadaqah. No matter what size donation you make, you can be assured you will be providing families with education, health care, job training, food, water, emergency relief, and much more.

Fidya And Kaffara

During Ramadan, there may be a time that Muslims are unable to fulfill their commitment of fasting due to an illness or another valid reason. There may be some Muslims who want to compensate for this broken fasting. Compensating for a broken oath is the central concept behind Fidya and Kaffara in Islam. By compensating for your broken oaths, you will directly impact members of the global community who desperately need your assistance.

Kaffara, on the other hand, allows you to miss or break a fast during Ramadan deliberately without any reason. If you are to miss a fast, you either need to fast for sixty consecutive days or feed sixty hungry people. The estimated cost per meal with your donation is about ten dollars, which means to fulfill your  Kaffara, you need to donate six hundred dollars.

Closing Thoughts

HHRD is ranked amongst the top-rated Zakat charities in the United States. Helping Hand USA received a score of 98.23 out of 100. This shows the trust we genuinely have with United States-based donors.  If you are looking to fulfill your Zakat, Sadaqah, Fidya, or Kaffara, please consider donating to HHRD this Ramadan. We will make sure your donation goes to where it is needed most to have the most significant impact.
