The National League Championship Series pits the Phillies against the Diamondbacks. Here is the complete schedule. The Philadelphia Phillies will play the Arizona Diamondbacks in the NLCS 2023 after defeating the Atlanta Braves in four games.

The winner advances to the World Series where they will face the winner of the Houston Astros vs Texas Rangers American League Championship Series.

Philadelphia, which lost to the Houston Astros in the 2022 World Series, is led by players Bryce Harper, Nick Castellanos, and Trae Turner among others.

In its quest for its second World Series championship in franchise history, Arizona is led by players like Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte, and Christian Walker. The final one happened in 2001, the Diamondbacks’ fourth MLB season.

The Philadelphia Phillies of the NL East and the Arizona Diamondbacks of the NL West will meet in the 2023 NLCS.

What is the format for the NLCS?

The 2-3-2 format is used in the World Series, NLCS, and ALCS. Philadelphia, the team with the higher seed, will host Games 1 and 2 to open the series before it moves to Arizona’s stadium for Games 3, 4, and 5 (the latter if required). If necessary, games 6 and 7 would then be held in Philadelphia.
