The holiday season is officially on at Walmart as the U.S. retail giant welcomed November with a bang with its month-long Black Friday sales that kicked off today, Friday, November 1.

Walmart’s November 1 sales extravaganza marks the start of the retailer’s waves of offerings in the lead up to Black Friday on November 29.

This year, as with every year, Walmart has again surprised its shoppers with new offerings that are even better than what the retailer offered in previous Black Friday sales.

On Walmart.com, you can find loads of discounts on a range of items spanning consumer electronic deals like smartphones and television sets to home essentials like kitchen appliances and more.

Less than two weeks ago, Walmart announced that it has made a number of changes to customers’ shopping experience in preparation for the busy holiday period.

There’s also a Scannable Toy Catalog for iOS devices that shoppers can use to check out the hottest toys straight from the pages of Walmart’s seasonal toy catalog.

Walmart is also offering free next-day delivery on eligible items. Customers, even those without a Walmart membership, can get their orders delivered the next day.

Apart from Walmart, other major retailers like Kohl’s, Lowe’s and Amazon also kicked off their early Black Friday deals ahead of the busy Christmas shopping period.
