The top US workplaces include two mortgage lending companies, a staffing company, a credit union, and a firm of certified public accountants.
Co-sponsored by USA TODAY and Energage, the fourth annual survey includes the rankings.
Midsize and large organizations, including those with operations in several markets, can be recognized with the Top Workplaces USA awards. Eligible employers must employ 150 people or more.
Employee feedback obtained via the Energize employee engagement survey is the only factor used to determine winners. 12 months of surveys in 2023 were used to select the companies.
Among companies with over 2,500 employees, the top five winners are as follows:
Three additional categories have winners as well: businesses with 1,000–2,499 employees, organizations with 500–999 employees, and organizations with 150–499 employees. The top 100 employers in each of the four categories were ranked by Energage, after which the remaining winners were listed alphabetically.
Almost 7,000 employers across the country were invited to accept the challenge, and 2,227 of them proceeded with the employee survey procedure. In the end, 1,531 employers were honored.
According to Eric Rubino, CEO of Energize, “A Top Workplaces award brings a company’s culture strengths to the national stage, helping them differentiate in a fiercely competitive landscape. It’s a morale-boosting honor for the workforce and an effective magnet for attracting top-tier talent.”
