Airport food may be hit or miss, as is well known. However, not every terminal is made equal. The top airports for food in the world were selected by Radical Storage. This company offers luggage storage and travel tip providers, based on an analysis of more than 1.2 million passenger reviews. For the top 100 airports, the ranking took into account the following information:
Only four airports in the United States reached the top 10: Los Angeles International Airport in California, Chicago O’Hare International Airport in Illinois, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia, and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport in Texas.
The highest-ranking airports and what makes them special are shown below.
According to the analysis, Incheon International Airport in Seoul, South Korea, is the best airport in the world for food. There are 270 different places to eat there, and the average menu item costs $8.18.
Even though the airport was rated the greatest in the world, the average score for the food selections was only 3.2 out of 5.
Although the airport was rated the best in the world, the average rating for the food options on Google Maps was 3.2 out of 5, which was lower than the overall average of 3.3 out of 5.
Shake Shack and Korean Food Street, which serves a variety of traditional Korean foods, are two options available at the airport in South Korea.
Radical Storage reports that there are three confirmed options for vegans and vegetarians at the Incheon International Airport, but no gluten-free options have been registered online.
The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta, Georgia, is ranked as the second-best airport. It contains 138 restaurants, 138 of which have received an average rating of 3.4 out of 5.
