RUSHABH FOUNDATION Launches 15 Digital Classrooms in Tribal Schools of Talasari, Maharashtra

Mumbai, Maharashtra – 30th March 2024 – RUSHABH FOUNDATION, a leading non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing education, health, environment, and advocacy in underprivileged communities, is proud to announce the launch of 15 state-of-the-art Digital Classroom setup (43” Display Panel with licensed Maharashtra state Board Syllabus content in AV form and hardware interface) in the tribal schools of the aspirational block Talasari, in the Palghar district of Maharashtra. This initiative, inaugurated on March 30th, 2024, marks a significant step toward bridging the digital divide and providing quality education to underprivileged tribal students.

The launch event took place at Madhyamik Shala Girgaon, a tribal school in Talasari taluka, and with local dignitaries, educators, community members, and representatives from various supporting organizations. The initiative is part of RUSHABH FOUNDATION’s commitment to achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by leveraging technology to enhance educational outcomes for marginalized communities.

The digital classrooms are equipped with the latest in educational technology, including smart digital boards, digital content aligned with the state curriculum, and communication interface connectivity, thereby providing an immersive learning experience for students. These tools are designed to make learning more engaging, accessible, and effective, preparing students for a brighter future in an increasingly digital world.

The selection of Talasari, recognized as an “Aspirational Block,” underscores the critical need for targeted interventions in education within the region. The area, predominantly inhabited by SC/ST populations, faces significant challenges in educational attainment and access to learning resources. The 2nd Birth’ initiative – Mission Zero School Drop Out is focused on providing help to TRIBAL Children by making sure that they get a minimum 12th-grade education. In Tribal areas, the School dropout rate is 72% which is 6 times the national average of 12.6% and it’s very alarming.  Every year, a large number of students drop out of school in India, this hinders their economic and social well-being as well as reduces the literacy rate of the country, and creates a non-innovative environment & Unemployable population.  The digital classroom project aims to address these gaps, offering new opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive.

“Education is the cornerstone of development, and in today’s world, digital literacy is an essential part of that foundation. By introducing digital classrooms to tribal schools in Talasari, we are not just providing access to quality education; we are opening doors to a world of possibilities for these children,” said Mahendra Vanigota, Chairman, of RUSHABH FOUNDATION. “This project is a testament to our belief in the transformative power of education and technology. We are grateful for the support of our partners and the community in making this vision a reality.”
