In India’s booming EdTech space, there’s one name that’s making waves among Telugu students Frontlines Edutech. This is not your run-of-the-mill tech firm. It is an inspiring tale of two entrepreneurial founders, Sai Krishna Mantravadi and Upendra Gulipilli, who had modest small-town origins and founded a platform that’s empowering thousands of students.
This blog is a straightforward account of how Frontlines Edutech went from small-town beginnings to being a leading startup known throughout the country, particularly highlighting how this journey motivates Telugu learners to dream big and learn smart.
Sai Krishna is from Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh a small town with fewer exposures to global education and corporate life. Though he came from humble beginnings, Krishna studied Electronics and Communication Engineering at PVP Siddhartha Engineering College. But his passion for learning didn’t end there.
He further acquired two Master’s degrees from Deakin University, Australia in Engineering Management and Electronics.
Rather than establishing himself abroad, he came back to India with one mission:
In order to provide quality education to students in Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns, particularly for Telugu learners.
His international exposure coupled with local awareness were the driving factors for Frontlines Edutech.
Upendra’s story is highly emotional and identifiable. He is from Vijayawada, born to an auto driver father, in a lower-middle-class family. His only route to success was through education.
He started off with a Diploma in Electronics and Communication, then finished his BTech at PVP Siddhartha. Early career at HighRadius and TCS provided him with solid exposure to backend development, Java, and live IT systems.
But even once he had stepped into the IT sector, Upendra never forgot the plight of rural students. He knew the disparity between employability and education — and that became his quest.
Collectively, these two brains formed a platform that closes the gap for thousands of Telugu learners.
Krishna and Upendra started Frontlines Media in 2019, not as a startup, but as an Instagram meme-based job posting page. The concept was straightforward: employ humor and relatable content to keep Telugu students updated about job vacancies.
This innovative format soon went viral. The page reached more than 1 million followers, comprising primarily students and job aspirants from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
This taught them one big thing:
Telugu youth desired opportunities. They simply lacked access to proper platforms.
Eventually, they saw a painful pattern. Most students applied for employment but did not have practical skills — particularly in coding, communication, and interviewing.
That’s when they decided to take the leap:
To turn Frontlines Media into an EdTech firm dedicated to career-oriented training — and Frontlines Edutech was born in 2022.
Frontlines Edutech is not another course-selling platform. It’s a student-first ecosystem built with the struggles of Telugu learners in mind.
Key Features:
No Technical Background? No Worries! We’ll Teach You from the Scratch, This is what Frontlines Edutech offers to all the students with no technical background. Whether you come from B.Com, B.Sc, BA, or even diploma streams, feel free to come here.
Their intention was not to compete with large EdTechs. Rather, they played to their strengths: community trust, local language, relatable trainers, and outcome-based learning.
Frontlines Edutech provides extremely practical courses that align with the IT industry’s needs. These consist of:
The courses are written in easy English and Telugu, making them easy for students from even rural institutions to grasp and implement.
From Non-IT to IT in Barely 3–6 Months – Yes, that’s how quickly students are rebooting their careers through targeted learning and regular mentorship.
The best part is the storytelling style — rather than dry lectures, trainers describe concepts in real-life analogies, local examples, and simple terms.
In the past two years, Frontlines Edutech has groomed 40000+ students — a majority of whom hail from small towns of Andhra and Telangana.
Students from rural areas such as Anantapur, Ongole, Karimnagar, Srikakulam, and Kurnool have been placed in companies such as:
These students tend to post thank-you messages on social media, declaring how Frontlines Edutech transformed their lives — not merely by educating them, but by mentoring, encouraging, and advising.
Within a short span, the effect of Frontlines Edutech made waves in the national media.
Achievements:
What began as a meme page has evolved into an internationally known EdTech brand all while remaining grounded in regional values.
Frontlines Edutech did not construct courses. They constructed a movement.
How?
Future-Proof Your Career – Learn Skills That Companies Want, This is not just a slogan. It’s the very vision behind every curriculum and training session.
This level of emotional and local connectivity is what differentiates them from other EdTech giants.
Together, they created more than a business. They created hope for thousands of small-town students who once believed IT careers were beyond their reach.
The group is currently working on:
They’re also partnering with tech firms to provide remote internships, job fairs, and additional placement support.
Sai Krishna and Upendra’s story is not merely a startup tale, it’s a movement of change. From humble beginnings to global platforms, they’ve proven that with proper vision, education can indeed change lives.
They didn’t start a company. They built a new way for thousands of Telugu students to dream, learn, and develop.
If you’re a student, a dreamer, or an aspiring entrepreneur from a small town — let this be your reminder:
Your background doesn’t define your future. Your effort does.
And with platforms like Frontlines Edutech, you’re no longer alone.
