4 Best Ways To Practice Self-Care This Fall
There are so many ways to implement self-care into your daily routine with lots of benefits to gain. What better time to start these changes than in the Fall? As you work to incorporate more self-care this Autumn, here are the four best ways to do just that! Practice self-care this Fall by prioritizing your needs for physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
1. Find Time To Unwind
Between your daily to-dos, make time for yourself to relax. Take five minutes to get fresh air and take in your surroundings. We often get so consumed in our work, home, and immediate spaces where most of the daily activities happen that we forget to get out and explore.
We can’t spend all of our time in one place, so when you find even five minutes to reset, do so outside, or if you can’t get away, spend at least a few moments in another room. You don’t want to feel confined or stuck in one place.
Schedule some skincare beauty treatments for yourself to have something to look forward to throughout the week. Fall is a busy time of year, so breaking up your days with fun activities like massages and a manicure kitcan make it easier to unwind amidst the chaos.
2. Set Realistic Goals
Fall is the time to get back on track. If you’re a student, you may be starting up school. Adults may be returning to work after summer vacation or sabbatical. Fall sends the message that we need to get back on our feet and into the real world. During this season, many of us set goals for ourselves to get into the habit of productivity and to build up that momentum again.
You can practice self-care this Fall by setting goals for yourself but keeping them realistic. You don’t want to bite off more than you can chew. Take your time and work your way up to your more challenging goals. If you want to stick with something, you need to keep it balanced and practical, or you’ll feel defeated and be less likely to continue.

3. Have Sunday Resets
On Sunday, get your home together as an act of self-care. Take a few hours to clean your home, do your laundry, change your sheets, and get your home environment clean.
You don’t need to go crazy but do enough to keep your home feeling clean and tidy so you are ready for the week ahead. A big part of self-care is choosing environments that support your well-being. When we keep our spaces clean and orderly, we feel more capable and balanced in ourselves. You’ll feel more situated and grounded in a clean and refreshed space.
4. Declutter Your Home
This Fall, start preparing for the year ahead by decluttering your home. This may include removing unwanted clothing, worn-down furniture, and other items that no longer serve you or that you may need. You might choose to donate some of these things, sell them online, or check out the consignment shops in your area.
You may even be able to sell your furniture to antique shops if the items you own are particularly noteworthy. Make sure to cleanse your home after it is decluttered to invite positive energy into your space! Some enjoy burning sage or incense to cleanse different areas and invoke positive vibes in their homes. See what works for you!
The Bottom Line
To practice self-care this Fall, ensure you are setting yourself up for success. Consider what you need to feel grounded on the inside and on the outside and consider the above suggestions to start getting your self-care on track. You deserve it!
