It gives me immense pride and joy to share the outstanding achievements of two of my most dedicated and visionary students — Anushka Raj Yadav and Shubneet — currently in their third year of the B.E. Computer Science and Engineering (AI/ML specialization) at the Apex Institute of Technology, Chandigarh University.

Having had the privilege of mentoring Anushka and Shubneet over the past two years, I can confidently say that their academic journey stands as a benchmark for young researchers in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Their unwavering dedication, intellectual curiosity, and mutual collaboration have led them to achieve exceptional milestones.

Together, they have co-authored and published more than 20 research papers in esteemed Springer and Scopus-indexed conferences, making significant contributions in domains such as Explainable AI (XAI), Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Agentic Models, and Deep Learning architectures. Each of their papers reflects a clear understanding of both theoretical foundations and practical implementations.

Beyond research papers, they have jointly authored over 15 book chapters, further solidifying their knowledge and thought leadership in rapidly evolving AI domains. Their innovation-driven mindset is also evident from the 5+ patents they have successfully published — a rare accomplishment at such a formative stage of their careers.

What I admire most about Anushka and Shubneet is their consistent pursuit of excellence and willingness to step outside their comfort zones. Whether tackling complex problems or exploring novel research directions, they embody the essence of what it means to be true innovators.

As someone who has published over 70 research papers and book chapters and holds 80 patents, I’ve mentored many students over the years — but working with Anushka and Shubneet has been truly rewarding. Their energy, discipline, and deep respect for the research process give me immense hope for the future of AI in India.

It has been an honour to guide them, and I have no doubt that they will continue to make impactful contributions to academia, industry, and society at large. Chandigarh University is fortunate to have such bright minds leading the way, and I am proud to have played a role in their journey.
