Future Earns 12th Billboard 200 No. 1 Album With The Real Me

Future secures his 12th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 as his newest studio project, The Real Me, debuts atop the chart dated July 25. With a dozen chart-toppers, Future now holds sole possession of third place among rap artists with the most No. 1 albums in Billboard 200 history.

Among all artists with the most chart-topping albums, Future moves ahead of Eminem, who has 11 No. 1s. Only The Beatles (19), Drake and Taylor Swift (15 each), and JAY-Z (14) have accumulated more Billboard 200 leaders.

The Real Me opens with 131,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States during the tracking week ending July 16, according to Luminate, with streaming accounting for the majority of its opening total.

The album was officially announced on June 15, while its July 10 release date was revealed 10 days later. Its lead single, “Radio,” arrived on June 26 and has climbed into the top 25 on both the Hot Rap Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.

Elsewhere in this week’s Billboard 200 top 10, The Rolling Stones extend their all-time record for the most top-10 albums as Foreign Tongues debuts at No. 7, while the Heated Rivalry soundtrack enters at No. 9 following the release of its CD and vinyl editions.

The Billboard 200 ranks the week’s most popular albums in the United States using multi-metric consumption measured in equivalent album units, as compiled by Luminate. The calculation combines album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). One unit equals one album sale, 10 individual track purchases from an album, or 2,500 ad-supported or 1,000 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by an album’s songs.

Of The Real Me’s 131,000 equivalent album units, SEA units contribute 118,000, representing 120.29 million on-demand official streams of the album’s tracks, allowing it to debut at No. 1 on Top Streaming Albums. Traditional album sales account for 13,000 units, resulting in a No. 9 debut on Top Album Sales, while TEA units make up a negligible amount. The project was initially released as an 11-track standard digital edition, a 13-track vinyl available in four variants, including two signed editions, a 21-track CD offered in two versions, including a signed edition, and a 22-track digital and streaming version.

Five previous Billboard 200 chart-toppers follow Future in the latest top 10. Olivia Rodrigo’s you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love remains at No. 2 with 96,000 equivalent album units earned, down 7%. Morgan Wallen’s I’m the Problem climbs one position to No. 3 with 73,000 units, down 2%. Ella Langley’s Dandelion slips one spot to No. 4 with nearly 73,000 units, down 4%. Noah Kahan’s The Great Divide rises from No. 6 to No. 5 with 67,000 units, an 8% increase, while Drake’s ICEMAN drops from No. 5 to No. 6 with 61,000 units, down 10%.

The Rolling Stones further extend their record for the most Billboard 200 top-10 albums as Foreign Tongues debuts at No. 7, giving the legendary band its 39th top-10 album. The release starts with nearly 54,000 equivalent album units. Of that total, 49,000 units come from album sales, placing it at No. 1 on Top Album Sales, while SEA units contribute 4,000, equal to 4.48 million on-demand official streams. TEA units represent a negligible amount. The album’s opening sales were strengthened by its availability in more than a dozen vinyl variants, four CD editions, two digital editions and one cassette format.

Foreign Tongues follows the band’s previous studio album, Hackney Diamonds, which debuted and peaked at No. 3 in 2023. The new release was led by the radio-promoted single “In the Stars,” which has climbed to No. 14 on the Adult Alternative Airplay chart.

Behind The Rolling Stones, Barbra Streisand ranks second with 34 Billboard 200 top-10 albums, followed by Frank Sinatra, who has 33.

The soundtrack to the hit television series Heated Rivalry debuts at No. 9 after its CD and vinyl editions were released on July 10. It enters the chart with 41,000 equivalent album units, all of which come from album sales, earning a No. 2 debut on Top Album Sales.

Heated Rivalry becomes the first television series soundtrack to debut inside the Billboard 200 top 10 in more than a decade. The last soundtrack to accomplish the feat was the first-season soundtrack to Fox’s Empire, which debuted at No. 1 in 2015. Since Empire, the only other TV soundtrack to reach the top 10 was the season-two soundtrack for Prime Video’s Hazbin Hotel, which peaked at No. 8 after debuting at No. 70 one week earlier in 2025.

Heated Rivalry premiered on Canadian streaming service Crave on Nov. 28, 2025, before launching the same day in the United States on HBO Max. The six-episode debut season concluded on Dec. 26, and the series has already been renewed for a second season.

The soundtrack received physical releases across two vinyl variants and a two-CD collection. The vinyl editions feature songs heard throughout the series, including t.A.T.u.’s “All the Things She Said,” Wolf Parade’s “I’ll Believe in Anything” and Feist’s “My Moon My Man,” along with selected pieces from Peter Peter’s original score. The CD version expands the collection by including Peter Peter’s complete score in addition to the featured songs.

Michael Jackson’s former chart-topper Thriller drops from No. 8 to No. 9 with 41,000 equivalent album units, down 3%, while Morgan Wallen’s previous No. 1 album One Thing at a Time rises from No. 11 to No. 10 with 37,000 equivalent album units, a decline of 2%.
