At the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, which is surging with the wave of electrification and intelligence in the automotive industry, China Changan Automobile Group brings its brands to the exhibition with the theme of “Embrace Innovation and Win-Win Future”. Through 88 innovative products, it fully demonstrates its technological breakthroughs in core areas such as powertrain and intelligent chassis, and demonstrates its strategic determination of “Towards new trends, gathering new trends, and innovating”.

Towards new trends: Technological innovation drives industrial transformation

China Changan is accelerating its transformation into an innovative technology group with the support of the “1255+” technological innovation system. At the auto show, Chenzhi Technology releases a new generation of intelligent chassis sports integrated solution, integrating core technologies such as EMB full wire control brake and SBW wire control steering, with multiple power combinations, system-level redundancy and other features. The wire control brake response speed is increased by 50%, and the dynamic adjustment range of the suspension is ±50mm. Many performances are leading the world, pushing China Changan from “following” to “leading” in the field of intelligent chassis.

The “GI-Drive2.0” global intelligent electric drive platform launched by Chongqing Qingshan is equipped with a six-layer TS-AMES technology architecture, integrating 293 domestic and foreign invention patents. The EDS4 distributed electric drive assembly efficiency is as high as 96.5%. It is combined with 4 world-first technologies such as the BTB 3D cooling motor controller. On-site demonstrations of scenes, such as U-turns on the spot demonstrate the precise control capabilities of distributed drives and redefine the industry’s technological boundaries.

Gathering new trends: Building an ecological system for the entire industry chain

China Changan takes the “3+2+N” business layout (powertrain and electric drive + intelligent chassis + thermal management, etc.) as the core to build a full-chain industrial ecology: 

Powertrain and electric drive: Dongan Power exhibits the extended-range M15NTDE engine with a thermal efficiency exceeding 46%; Chongqing Qingshan and Huachuan Denso respectively display the all-in-one electric drive assembly and extended-range generator, forming full-dimensional support for the electric drive platform.

Intelligent chassis: Chenzhi Technology presents the full-stack capabilities of “research, production, and supply” of wire-controlled chassis. Sichuan Jianan’s third-generation IEDU deeply integrate rear axle has high precision and high cost performance. Its sales increased by 210% year-on-year in 2024, becoming a “dark horse” in the market.

Thermal management and electronic appliances: The next generation thermal management super integrates module of the Innovation Research Institute can reduce the energy consumption of the whole vehicle by 8%; the heat pump air conditioning system of Southern Inter achieves multi-domain intelligent temperature control; the Electronic Appliance Division exhibits more than 30 core products including the power domain controller for the first time.

Smart logistics: Changan Minsheng Logistics uses digital platforms such as the MB-CMS packaging management system, combined with intelligent equipment such as unmanned forklifts, to achieve digital management of the entire process from the entry of parts into the factory to after-sales service.

Innovation opens collaboration, empowering industrial upgrading

China Changan adheres to the concept of “innovation-led, green and low-carbon”, launches the “customization + pre-research collaboration” cooperation model, and has carried out scenario-based technology co-creation with more than 20 OEMs. Digital lean management is introduced on the manufacturing side, the automation rate of key processes reaches 95%, and an industry-leading quality inspection system is established. In terms of sustainable development, a battery recycling system is built, and more than 50,000 tons of waste batteries are recycled cumulatively, promoting the green transformation of the entire industry chain.
