Feed the underprivileged – No One Sleeps Hungry initiative by Unicas

With so many everyday challenges that people have encountered in recent times due to the COVID-19, to say that the nation is suffering would be an understatement. With the scarcity of food and medical supplies, it’s has been a challenge to keep the hope for survival every passing day.
Amidst these crucial times, Unicas, a crypto-friendly financial institution, has started its initiative #NoOneSleepsHungry under the umbrella of the initiative #CryptoAgainstCovid by Cashaa. The main aim is to provide the underprivileged people of the nation with food supplies to make their living easier.
With a lot of daily wage workers or gig-based employees dealing with the repercussions of losing livelihood, one organization can’t help everyone at the ground level. While the government is finding ways to stop the spread, the frontline workers are helping patients suffering from the virus in recovery, the initiative is to feed, empower and bring a change to the vulnerable people by doing our bit in addressing these grassroots-level challenges.
“As India goes into lockdown again, we must realize the repercussions that it has on many underprivileged groups including daily wage workers, laborers, and rag pickers who can’t provide for the necessities like food for their families. Millions of people in India are on the verge of starvation and desperately await support. However, no one organization has the bandwidth to provide for all. With this campaign, we aim to protect and support such families from falling into deeper clutches of poverty. Therefore, we urge others to join us in this initiative. Even if one person takes the responsibility to feed one family for a month, we will be able to combat this fight and come out of it stronger,” stated Dinesh Kukreja, CEO, Unicas.
This initiative has helped us reach over 1000 families and provide them with ration kits containing essential food supplies, so no one sleeps hungry in these times of misery.
To reach further into the underprivileged sections of the society, Unicas has received support from Kucoin, another major crypto player who has pledged to support 2000 families and the initiative has expanded to Bihar and Uttar Pradesh to help families recover from the plight of hunger, as most of the migrant workers are residents of these areas.
With this, we strive to urge all crypto-friendly communities to come forward and help make this leap of kindness towards the people suffering. People in need can reach out to the Unicas helpline number +91 8239411411 for support.
