The Batman director Matt Reeves releases logo along with DC FanDome virtual global event
The Batman writer-director Matt Reeves has shared the logo and new artwork for the upcoming Batman movie, featuring Robert Pattinson-led standalone reboot of the Dark Knight, close by the artwork of Pattinson’s Batman drawn by DC Comics publisher and chief creative officer Jim Lee. The first footage from the film is relied upon to teaser throughout the weekend, during the mega virtual DC FanDome event.
Taking to Twitter, Reeves tweeted, “Excited to share the very first look at our official #TheBatman logo, and some very cool additional #DCFanDome artwork by the amazing @jimlee — see more of #TheBatman at the #DCFanDome global event in the Hall of Heroes this Saturday, 8/22!”
The red-and-white toned visuals, drawn by Jim Lee, look at the suit Robert’s Batman will wear in the film. Up until now, just a short bit of test footage and a few photos of the Batmobile have been shared from the film, and a few illegal set pictures of Robert’s trick double in costume.
Red is the predominant color of choice for both The Batman logo and artwork. The Batman logo includes a bat imposed on the words “Batman”, while Batman remains on a gargoyle against the backdrop of Gotham City in the artwork.
In a prior interview with GQ, Robert talked about the pressures of playing such a popular character. He said, “I think sometimes the downsides—which I’ve thought about—the downsides kind of seem like upsides. I kind of like the fact that not only are there very, very, very well-done versions of the character which seem pretty definitive, but I was thinking that there are multiple definitive playings of the character.”
A teaser for The Batman is expected at the weekend’s mega virtual event DC FanDome, however, it’s difficult to state what it will contain. The Batman had completed a fourth of its shooting in London when the ongoing coronavirus pandemic constrained Reeves and Co. to close down production in March. Cameras are relied upon to roll again toward the beginning of September in the English capital.

Notwithstanding Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman, The Batman stars Zoë Kravitz as Selina Kyle/Catwoman, Paul Dano as Edward Nashton/Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon, John Turturro as mob boss Carmine Falcone, Peter Sarsgaard as Gotham district attorney Gil Colson, Jayme Lawson as Gotham mayoral candidate Bella Reál, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin.
Off-camera, Reeves is working off a script he co-composed with Mattson Tomlin. Reeves is additionally a producer on The Batman close by Dylan Clark. Michael Giacchino is composing The Batman soundtrack, while Greig Fraser is the cinematographer. The Batman is a production of DC Films, and sixth and Idaho Productions. Warner Bros.
