These 12 new features are coming to the iPhone 15 Pro on Apple September 12 event
At its event on September 12, Apple is expected to reveal four new iPhone 15 models. The handsets are anticipated to go on sale for pre-order on September 15th. A USB-C port and the Dynamic Island are said to be features shared by all four models, but the Pro models are expected to have many more features, including a titanium frame, a customizable Action button, an A17 Bionic chip, Wi-Fi 6E support, and more.
Twelve alleged new features for the iPhone 15 Pro models are summarized below:
- Titanium frame: Weighs less than the previous Pro models’ stainless steel frame.
- A17 Bionic chip: Faster, more power-efficient, and produced using a 3nm process
- Action button: Replace the Ring/Silent switch with one that can be used for various functions.
- USB-C port: A more common charging standard, faster data transfer speeds
- New color options: Space Black, Titan Gray, Blue, and Silver
- Ultra-thin curved bezels: A thinner border around the screen
- Wi-Fi 6E: Wi-Fi now supports the 6GHz band, enabling better Wi-Fi connectivity with compatible routers.
- 8GB of RAM: An additional 2GB of RAM upgrade for multitasking
- Periscope telephoto lens: Exclusive on the iPhone 15 Pro Max, up to 5x-6x optical zoom
- More repairable design: The iPhone 15 is a successor to the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus.
- Ultra Wideband improvements: Upgrade to the U1 chip in anticipation of the Vision Pro
- SIM card slot removed in more countries: France and perhaps other countries
Beyond what is mentioned above, other exciting features are expected, such as support for Qi2, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X70 modem, and more.
According to numerous sources, the price difference between the US’s iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro models would be between $100 and $200.
These are the main rumors surrounding the iPhone 15 Pro models as of right now, ahead of their announcement next week. There is still about a week before Apple unveils the iPhone 15 series, so new features and changes could appear.
