World No Tobacco Day 2019: WHO and CTC will celebrate the World No Tobacco Day on May 31
Every year, on May 31, the World Health Organization (WHO) and global partners such as the Chippewa County Communities That Care (CTC) Coalition celebrate World No Tobacco Day (WNTD). The annual campaign is a chance to raise awareness on the hurtful and dangerous impacts of tobacco use and second-hand smoke exposure, and to demoralize the utilization of tobacco in any form.
The focus of World No Tobacco Day 2019 is on “tobacco and lung health.”
The campaign will expand awareness on:
‒ the negative effect that tobacco has on individuals’ lung health, from cancer to chronic respiratory disease.
‒ the fundamental role lungs play for the health and well-being of all people.
The campaign likewise fills in as a call to action, advocating for effective policies to decrease tobacco consumption and connecting with stakeholders over various sectors in the battle for tobacco control.
The Chippewa County CTC Coalition is supporting this movement by setting out on a banner campaign, and expectations community individuals take an interest in the following ways:
1: Choosing a photograph individuals appreciate that takes they breath away.
2: Uploading individuals photograph to Facebook as their profile picture with the photograph frame at WHO No Tobacco Day 2019 Social Media Campaign.
3: When posting the image compose a caption that clarifies why it takes they breath away and why it ought to never be tobacco. Use the #NoTobacco.
4: Tag @WHO and individuals’ friends, urging them to join the online discussion.
