NGO ‘Change in Motion’ distributed blankets to migrant labourers of Wazirabad
New Delhi (India), January 11: Delhi NCR is freezing, and it becomes tough for the underprivileged to survive this harsh weather. To help the poor and needy, NGO by name ‘Change in Motion’ has come forward in this chilling winter to spread warmth. The NGO is organising blanket donation drives at various locations across Delhi NCR. A similar activity was carried out on Sunday (January 8) at Wazirabad. The ‘Change In Motion’ team distributed warm blankets to the families of migrant workers in Wazirabad. The activity was organised with support from the Gurgaon police.
‘Change In Motion’ is registered as Nanhi Veena Women Welfare Foundation and is headed by enterprising females – Karen Wilson Kumar and Pooja Lal. The NGO plans to distribute as many as 5000 blankets to the needy this winter. Talking about the activity, in a joint statement, Karen Wilson Kumar and Pooja Lal said, “During winters, families of these migrant labourers don’t have enough sources to save themselves from the cold waves. Our blanket donation is just to help them in distress.”
They further say, “This year we helped a much larger number of inhabitants due to the support of benevolent patrons. It is through this partnership between corporate houses and citizen action that one is able to effect change and make a difference. We would also like to thank the Gurgaon Police for their support.” Founded in 2020, ‘Change In Motion’ was actively involved in running various campaigns during the pandemic. From food distribution drives to helping COVID warriors, the NGO did it all.
