Is Power Sportz getting an award from the President?
Hitting a home run with its numerous programs, particularly the flagship show “Talking Turkey with Kanthi”, Power Sportz has managed to grab eyeballs in this digital warfare of OTT platform. The channel is owned by Kanthi D Suresh, a seasoned media professional with a decade-long experience behind her.
As the world’s first live web TV in the sports domain, Power Sportz has come of age within its one-and-a-half-year of existence. Now, the latest buzz is, a Presidential award is in waiting for Power Sportz.
Yes, you’ve heard it right. Power Sportz might receive an award from the President for its stupendous success in the field of sports. Over the last one year, Power Sportz’s contribution towards Indian sports and athletes has been phenomenal. The channel has achieved a slew of milestones during its first year of operation.
Power Sportz, a legit owner of an award of the highest order
The news of a Presidential award is not surprising for a channel like Power Sportz that has ticked all the right boxes when it comes to delivering sports entertainment. As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. The huge traffic to the site proves the immense popularity of Power Sportz. The average users every month for Power Sportz have reached 10 million, way above expectation for a fledging sports channel.
During the ICC 2019 CWC in England and Wales, Power Sportz did an uninterrupted telecast of all the matches with world-renowned cricketers in the studio and patched in live from across the globe and the stadium. International legends like Desmond Haynes, Clive Llyod, Andy Bichel, Tony Dell, Gary Cosier were part of the cricket coverage. Former Indian cricketers like Nayan Mongia, Atul Wassan, Vijay Dahiya, Sadanand Viswanath, Vivek Razdan, and young Unmukt Chand joined Desmond Haynes in the Power Sportz studio during the ‘pre-mid-post’ match analysis through the World Cup. Traffic to the channel grew manifold during the World Cup.
Power Sportz’ tie-up with Uber-Careem
Another feather in the cap for Power Sportz is joining hands with one of the biggest conglomerates in the middle-east, the ride-sharing giant Uber-Careem.
Careem, the largest ride-sharing company in the middle-east, further bolstered its dominant position once acquired by Uber. Now, Power Sportz has signed an agreement with Uber-Careem to share its sports content across 15 countries of MENA.
IIT Kanpur invites Ms. Kanthi D Suresh
Recently, for their E-Summit 2019, IIT Kanpur extended an invitation to Kanthi D Suresh, the erudite Editor-in-chief of Power Sportz, to deliver a lecture on entrepreneurship.
Considering her success in starting and running India’s first digital sports channel, Kanthi D Suresh is the right fit to address the young and future entrepreneurs in the audience.
For her brilliant execution and spearheading a business not explored by anyone in India, Kanthi already received an award from a Haryana Cabinet minister.
Trending Twitter news about a Presidential award
During one of the recent Twitter trending related to Power Sportz, people talked about an award from the President of India. Although, it wasn’t clear who would be that President who would confer that award to Power Sportz. If the grapevine is to be believed, Kanthi would have to fly to Dubai as the ceremony would be held in the world-class city of the UAE.
